FAQs: OUR INDIANAPOLIS CPR CLASSES

How do I determine which type of CPR class to take?
If you are unsure which class to take, please call or text (317)426-0151 and we’ll help you decide.

How do I prepare for a CPR class?
There is not a lot you need to do to prepare for class. Please wear clothing that you will feel comfortable in to practice skills that require working on your hands and knees, bending, standing, and lifting.

How long will my certification last?
Certification will be valid for two years from the date of issuance. We will notify you before it’s time to renew.

My current AHA eCard only shows the month and year of expiration. Which day does it expire on?
Your current AHA eCard will expire on the last day of the month of expiration listed on the card.

Can I renew my card before it expires? Yes. We suggest you renew your card before it’s expiration to prevent any issues with your school or workplace.

I lost my AHA eCard. Can you help me get a copy?
Yes. We provide this service free of charge for our students. It’s a simple process for us to have it resent to whichever email address you’d like.

Will my employer accept a certification from AHA?
The American Heart Association is one of the most well known and prestigious CPR trainings you can receive. It is the most widely accept. Generally, employers and schools like to see that you’ve had “hands on” training and not just an online course (blended learning is usually still acceptable because of the hands on skills session). You should check with your employer first to be sure.

I need a CPR training class for teachers. Do you offer this?
Yes, we offer CPR training class for teachers in Indianapolis. The HeartSaver CPR class and the BLS Provider class will meet the specific requirements set in place by the Indiana Department of Education. The Indiana Department of Education does not require school teachers to receive first aid training, but you should check with your school because they may have their own requirements for first aid training. I took the AHA online blended learning course. Do you offer hands-on skills sessions?
Yes, we offer CPR hands-on skills sessions in Indianapolis. Please choose the hands-on skills session that corresponds with the course you took: HeartSaver CPR hands-on skills session + optional First Aid or BLS Provider hands-on skills session. You will also need to send us a copy of your completion certificate to info@rescuemissioncpr.com.

What if I am sick the day of class?
Please notify us as soon as possible. We will make arrangements with you to reschedule.

What is your refund and rescheduling policy?
We generally only issue refunds for extenuating circumstances. Please read more about our refund and rescheduling policies here.
