Basic Life Support (BLS) Blended Learning Skills Check Session

New students and renewals welcomed. Class includes training for CPR, AED, and Relief of Choking for adults, children, and infants. Students will receive American Heart Association BLS Certification (valid 2 years) upon completion of class.

The American Heart Association has made it easier than ever to receive your CPR certification with your busy schedule.

The blended learning class format consists of two parts, combining an online self-paced course with a short hands-on skills session completed in person with an instructor.
STEP 1: Register for IN-PERSON BLS Provider skills check session by choosing a date/time listed below. (Do this first, so we can save your seat in class!)
STEP 2: Complete the HeartCode BLS online course before coming in for the skills check session. (You will need to purchase the HeartCode BLS online course separately, from the American Heart Association, if you haven’t done so already. After you register here, you’ll receive an email with the direct link to purchase the online course from the AHA.)

AHA BLS Provider Skills Check Session Overview

The American Heart Association blended learning option gives students the ability to save time! Students will complete a portion of the class online on their own time and then schedule a skills check session with an instructor. The blended option covers the same information that a traditional class covers. Students will learn how to recognize life threatening emergencies and respond accordingly. Class includes: CPR, use of an AED, and choking relief for adults, children, infants.

During class, the instructor will observe the student demonstrating their proficiency in each skill and will provide additional instruction when needed. Our mission is to instill confidence in our students to administer CPR in real life emergencies.
