Basic Life Support (BLS) Blended Learning Skills Check Session

This class trains students in CPR, AED use, and Relief of Choking for adults, children, and infants. American Heart Association BLS certification, valid for two years, is issued upon successful completion.

The blended learning format makes certification easy for busy schedules by combining an online self-paced course with a short in-person skills session with an instructor.

How it works:

1. Register for the in-person BLS Provider skills check session to reserve your seat.

2. Complete the required HeartCode BLS online course before attending the skills check. (Add the required online portion above or purchase separately from the American Heart Association website.)

AHA BLS Provider Skills Check Session Overview

The blended learning option lets students save time by completing part of the class online at their own pace, then attending a hands-on skills check with an instructor. The course covers the same material as a traditional class, including CPR, AED use, and choking relief for adults, children, and infants.

During the in-person session, the instructor observes students demonstrating each skill and provides guidance as needed. Our goal is to give students the knowledge and confidence to perform CPR effectively in real-life emergencies.
