American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR, AED, Relief of Choking + Optional First Aid Skills Check Session Overview
This class is designed to train anyone with little or no medical training to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. This is the blended learning skills check session and will require completion of the Heartsaver online portion. You will need to purchase the Heartsaver online course separately, from the American Heart Association. After you register here, you’ll receive an email with the direct link to purchase the online course from the AHA.
The HeartSaver Blended Learning course is a two-part course that requires an online segment to be completed before meeting with an instructor for a hands-on skills check. During this class, students will learn how to recognize life threatening emergencies and respond accordingly. There are a three course PATHS to choose from which include: CPR, AED, Relief of Choking (No First Aid); CPR, AED, Relief of Choking + BASIC First Aid; and CPR, AED, Relief of Choking + TOTAL First Aid. Each AHA HeartSaver CPR class includes: how and when to administer CPR, use of an AED, and choking relief for adults, children, infants.
